How I Play

This section is devoted to explaining how I play the game. My gameplay style has been adapted from blogs such as: Lakeside Heights, Sullivan, Millwood, Apple Valley and others.

Rounds & Rotations
The game is played in ‘rounds.’ A round is one in game season. Households are rotated based on the schedule I set.

12 sim days is equal to one year. Each day simulates one month. Each of the four seasons has three days.

Summer: June, July, August
Fall: September, October, November
Winter: December, January, February
Spring: March, April, May

I play with aging is turned off. Sims will be manually aged to reflect their current age every year on their birth month. For example, Sally Sims was born in June of 2012. In June (1st day of the summer season) she will turn 2.

In order to make pregnancy seem more realistic, it will last 9 days (9 sim months).

1st Trimester Day 1-3 No bump
2nd Trimester Day 3-5 1st bump
3rd Trimester Day 6-9 2nd bump

  1. Looks great! Are you going to have birthday posts each month that there is a birthday, so say Sally ages up in June, and then Gus ages up in July, will you put each in a separate post?

    1. Hmm, that's a good question! I think since I'm going to be updating in seasons, I will post a seasonal birthday update and divide it into which birthdays happened in which month. Some birthdays may get their own post if there is a big celebration that takes place.

      Thanks for posting!

  2. Love your blog! I have a question. How do you manually age them? Also how do you slow down the pregnancy? Thanks!
